This program includes 60 women and girls from the mushroom growing and hairdressing businesses, along with an additional 50 women and girls from the community. Men and boys also benefit from awareness training and dance and drama programs.
The Netball Team plays a crucial role in empowering women, instilling confidence that they can achieve anything regardless of gender. The team trains three days a week and participates in matches at least once every two weeks, including quarterly District Tournaments. Training sessions incorporate discussions on women’s rights and reproductive and sexual health issues.
The Drop Child Care program allows women to pursue their education and training without worrying about their children’s safety and care. Together, these initiatives equip women with the necessary tools for success.
HOCW’s Empowerment and Sports Program fosters confidence and skill development among women and girls, enhancing their abilities to succeed in various areas of life while addressing crucial topics such as women’s rights and health.
