Hope Medical Centre

HOCW established the Hope Medical Centre in November 2019, with the assistance of our partners at All the Sky Foundation. The clinic is dedicated to providing free and subsidized healthcare services to community members based on their needs, with a strong emphasis on women’s and maternal health. The clinic serves as a crucial resource for safe family planning methods, feminine hygiene products, postnatal vaccinations, and training for new mothers. Since opening, the clinic has successfully welcomed eight beautiful babies into the world, all cared for by our attentive midwife and nurse.

Counselling

HOCW provides counselling services specifically tailored for individuals suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Our trained and certified counsellors utilize Narrative Exposure Therapy, a therapeutic approach designed to assist victims of violence and trauma in processing their experiences and beginning their healing journey.

Health Education

Health education is integral to HOCW’s mission, and we offer classes on important topics such as personal hygiene, sexually transmitted diseases, domestic violence, post-traumatic stress, anger management, healthy communication, and safe food preparation. We also conduct free testing services, including blood type and HIV screenings, in collaboration with Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago. Our objective is to raise awareness about health-related issues and empower individuals to make informed choices about their well-being.
